Previous Today we didn't get so lucky in getting a good spot. We pretty much ended up on the opposite side of the hall, a little bit behind the escalators. But still a pretty good location. Except that the room right next to our spot was the cosplay costume pre-judging. So it got crowded at times as people waited near the door for their turn to be judged. Which made people with cameras come and ask to take pictures of them. And uhhh my brother and I, behind the cosplayers, ended up in the background of a lot of pictures. I was telling him we should totally photobomb them but I haven't the guts to really do it anyway lol. I think we photobombed anyway just by being there ;[ One poor Katamari girl asked me to hold her ball for a bit since it was making her arms tired carrying it all day. Previous --- Next My brother and I stayed for around 5 hours this time (compared to Friday's two). We found a spot against the wall right across from the escalators going down to this floor, so we had a good view of people entering. Pretty funny when people tried to pose while on the escalator. Or when someone asked for a picture of someone right as they stepped on the escalator; too late. During our stay there, the girl and the Blue Eyes White Dragon we took a pic of yesterday decided to sit next to us, and then they had a huge group come there and pretty much crowded us out :[ I think she was trying to get people to give her their screennames so she could hit them up for charity money later on. This invasion of our personal space made us abandon our prime spot and walk around the convention a bit. So basically 15 minutes later we came back to the same loitering spot and they were gone, so we reclaimed it. Then a cameraman named Ron sat next to us and started talki...

Next Today was the first day of Metrocon, the anime/videogame/etc. convention in Tampa, FL. My brother and I don't buy passes because.... 1. It's expensive! $30/day per person. 2. It's not necessary (unlike MegaCon). Paying only gives you access to the main floor (i.e. shopping room) and events and panels. The main hall is open to everyone, and that's where everyone is when they aren't shopping or at events/panels. 3. We only go to people-watch ;) So yeah, here are the cosplay pics we took today.
