Las Vegas 2009 (part 5)

We went to the largest electronics store I've ever been to. Bigger than BestBuy.

Pic from here.

Fry's Electronics. They don't exist where I live. We always have to go just to browse their monstrous movie sections. Their anime section is rather large too. But damn anime is way too expensive. I almost bought Howl's Moving Castle, though.

My dad bought some porn there. TMI, Dad, TMI. And I bought Avalon Code on the DS. I've posted about this game. It had so much potential, but it's made of so much fail. My brother bought the Ghostbusters game and Unreal Tournament III. And my mom got the Monty Python's Flying Circus boxset lol.

That night we walked on the strip. We passed through the Luxor and Excalibur; we don't really care to gamble here. We avoided New York, New York completely. It's very noisy and dark in there.

We went into the MGM Grand just to look at the lions.

Lazy as always~

There were actually people inside with the lions. Researchers, I guess. Wouldn't you love to get paid a bucketload of money to watch the lions sleep tonight?

We skipped past M&Ms world and went to look at half-price tickets. We want to see a show this year. Mom kinda wants to see the Fab Four or one of the two Rat Pack shows. I don't really care to see either of these. But they didn't have any tickets for these shows and Mom was still undecided so we skipped it.

The Monte Carlo's entrance was all Christmas-y. There are big golden ornaments on their fountain. We stayed there some years ago. It was nice but the walls are thin. You can hear the plumbing all the time making it hard to sleep.

Once we got hungry we went to the Orleans for dinner. This casino is themed after Mardi Gras, obviously.

Picture taken from here.

My parents simply love this place. We used to always stay here, but a few years ago they "remodeled" the swimming pool and now it only goes 3ft deep. What. So we don't stay there. Plus, it's far off the strip so you have to drive or use the shuttle to go anywhere. But, uhh, we've been driving everywhere pretty much anyway.

There are some really creepy masks hung up around the place. The Orleans also has a movie theater, and arcade, and a bowling alley; I remember utilizing all of these entertainment venues in the past.

As for their French Market Buffet. It's great for the price, and this is coming from a cheapskate lol. They have mochaca, which is some sort of shredded beef that's spicy but awesome. Needless to say, we were all stuffed afterward.

But the night is still young in Sin City ... Man I'm never going to finish this series.
