Dark Wizard 59

Note: With this update I reached the max amount of images a photobucket album can hold, 2500. I had to make a second album.

We have some loose ends to tie up.

First, we'll confront that drunkard about the Goblet of Solma.

Begging doesn't help your reputation. Besides, I think everyone here thinks of you as that weird drunk guy.

Word travels fast.

This guy gave us info on griffins earlier, if you recall.

And what do we do with the goblet, again? Oh, yeah.

Kefkai channels Vian... will he and Bones become toast?

No, it's a success!

If you search there without the goblet, you're told that it's too hot to go near it.

The famous sword of dragon rider Vian. My, my. Never thought I'd see the day.

It's not as good as his normal weapon, figure that one out!

Well, someone did say this...

*foreshadowing*

Limelle reminds us of these elf tears she was given. What better place to hide an oasis than a desert?

Looks promising.

It's said Sabrina is sealed within this Jewel. If we break the seal, what will happen?

She will burn Amon to bits, she is the Goddess of Light after all.

no not really

We send our griffin rider to take a better look at the area we just liberated.

This is worth 5000 gold so we promptly sell it. This is a consumable item makes the next three turns be night time, which makes all our humanoid units miss all the time, but probably makes our liches do better? I don't know.

This is the unique weapon you get for defeating Karmak. It has 50 attack, which is the highest in the game for sword-class weapons. It's tied with the Black Sword.

Cures petrify, but I don't think we'll have to worry about that particular status ailment anymore.

We have so much gold now, it's finally time to spend it. We let Link return to Shinobi to gear up.

This is a shield-type item.

This is actually a pretty good armor, although I'm not sure what "increases terrain effects" means.

Oh, we decided to check out the rumors of treasure around Gasta castle.

Euld, being a hobbit priest, is very aware of the hobbits' religious ceremonies, so he knows how to use the rod to dig around with. It's more effective than a shovel, so he says.

It seems to be magical, but we aren't sure what it does.

I've never had this item before, but apparently we can use it to give us a free turn. Sounds useful!

As we travel south, Ladywinter spots something in the trees.

Ignore the purple castle, we actually own it. This is just the screenshot I had of this area.

This armor looks nasty. It's rimmed with spikes and sharp edges. It looks dangerous simply to wear, but she says it will harm anyone who tries to attack her.

It reflects damage back at the attacker.

Whoo another 5000 gold.

Sansha also found something. A new bow.

It's not great (25 attack) but it's better than her Rapid Bow (15 attack).

Speaking of armor, as we pass by Willis, the city of blacksmiths, Flimzy and Ickiren both clamor for a new set. Seeing how proudly Ladywinter wears her Retribution Armor, I could not deny them.

Then, finally, we are there. Asai, the junction between the mainland and the island that Velonese has been trapped on for hundreds of years.

No castles to guard? Huh...

Ignore the gold change -- we only have a few thousand, but I triggered this scene for recording before spending it all.

We will set out another day, for we still need to regroup.

(Basically I want everyone out on search party to be returned to my roster.)

In his talking animation, only his mouth moves. His eyes are like they are dead.

Ack! I thought we were moving forward!

Next: How exactly are we gonna cross to that island, anyhow?
