Dark Wizard 21

General gameplay updates so you hopefully get more of an idea of what's going on in one turn.

Yumekai shows off his recently-acquired ice spell. It hits the targeted enemy and 2 enemies next to it (or an empty space).

I have no idea where this ghost thinks it's going. But you know, I think I'll ignore it. Maybe it'll find Flimzy and paralyze him :v

Guv'na is possibly confused about what magic he wants to learn:

[GUV'NA 2 EXPERIENCE PT(S) WERE EARNED.]

He just cast a healing spell by using the power staff. It's level 1 healing, to be exact. Any hireling unit can carry this item and then use it for free exp and healing. It has infinite charges.

... so pretty much, both Buklauu and Euld can be replaced by this single item. Why, oh why, do they only have level 1 heal?

I'm not sure if I mentioned how useful flying units are. Well, here's a visual.

See, we can have a harpy or manticore fly up and fill in the gaps here to help us surround Aracna.

Contrast this movement with Ladywinter's. Although she is a powerhouse unit, she is very slow, which is why you haven't heard me say much about her. Simply put, she hasn't done anything!

I neglected to mention that on the last map she did manage to get a class change.

She is now a berserker, which is the same tier as Link, but not as cool because she didn't get a horse.

Death dragons freaking suck. I had this one attack this ghost.

For piddly damage.

However, the good thing is, the ghost only has a special attack, so it can't counterattack a melee attack.

I mean, geez, even a priest can one-shot a skeleton.

Okay, so it was an injured skeleton, but still.

And hell yeah, he learned level 2 heal from this! Only two more ranks to go to catch up to Rogutaan.

Maybe the dragon's eruption breath will do more damage.

Nope! And since this is a special attack...

Well, now we know to stick with melee vs. ghosts. We don't need any more roadblock paralyzed units than we already have. Though, in the dragon's defense, the paralyze attack did very little damage to it.

Next: We'll have Limelle enter that hidden elf town and see what that's all about.
