Dark Wizard 42

Note: I'm a bit behind on this because it's time-consuming and I've been working more on preparing for the next chapter in my Ragnarok Online comic. Sorry!

I gave an order for Link to gain some rest due to the injuries he sustained in our latest battle, but he volunteered to take the Mirror of Truth to the priest in Yentz. I don't think he is up for travel, but he wouldn't take "no" for an answer.

So, while we fight our next battle, he will be taking on that task...

But we get to see what he does on the search party anyway~

Straight to the church in Yentz.

It disappeared. Or Link defeated it, or something.

This is the only person in town that has anything to say about it.

The church recovers fast!

With that out of the way, Link heads to the town Susan's at.

Protip: You can't say no.

Pizza? In my fantasy RPG?

Worse yet, anchovy pizza.

You struck out, dude.

And we go to the fortune teller and waste our money.

There is this funny spot northeast of the town. Link feels drawn here for some reason...

Link: "Hey hey hey, look at this knife. Eh? eh? I belong here!"

This increases movement through rough terrain (forests, deserts, etc.).

Not that Link needs more attack power, but...

We will be getting one of these, but

Oh... you could have told us that before I started browsing.

Yeah, everything here can only be used by a certain class of character that we don't have yet.

A critical hit is an instant-kill. Damage isn't even factored in. But only one class can perform critical hits.

Same goes for this store's items.

This thing allows movement in water. Not much movement, kind of like how much our Death Wyrms can move in water.

There is an item that all hirelings can use to move in water called the MER SHIP or something, but it's unlikely that we'll be able to afford even one. The H2O spider, on the other hand, is fairly reasonable.

I guess this is an equippable item.

This is an interesting item. Basically, if (specific class) dies with this in his inventory, it'll blow up and take out whatever got the killing blow.

At the mayor's:

Link the Ninja, coming soon!

Oh, and here's Susan's status. She's a magician.

She has level 3 of the fire, wind, and earth spells. "BLOW OFF" is a new spell that we luckily haven't seen yet.

I say 'luckily' because it is a spell hobbit priests tend to learn instead of healing spells.

All it does is teleport an enemy some distance away from where it currently is. It can be useful, but I think damage is more important.

We won't be able to deploy her until we beat the next map.

Every leader has two unique NPC characters that join through quests like this. Usually one's a mage, and the other is a fighter. You have to recruit both of them to beat the game.

Susan is extra-special because of a glitch... We'll see it later.
