Dark Wizard 55

Previous --- Index --- Next

We've decided it's high time we send our wizards to the elemental spirits to beseech them for support. Considering our strength in magic now, we're sure to succeed.

Here I made a video of it.

(Blogger is failing to let me embed the video so just use the link.)

Long story short:

Sairek succeeded in gaining the wind spirit's support.
Yumekai succeeded in gaining the fire spirit's support.
Limelle failed the earth spirit's test. She needs ~10 more HP in order to pass, unless I send Susan to try instead. Being undead, she is arguably strong vs. earth attacks. I think I'll stick with Limelle, though.

Sansha was sure that she saw something in Lomsaire forest, so we sent her back.

The only weapon in the weapon shop here. It's good, but we'll pass for now.

Not sure how they work but they sound like a waste of money.

The conversation stops and he keeps repeating this when I try to continue it. I was confused for a bit, then gave up and left to find...

a "Next Page" option on the town screen.

We've been to Nautia recently. In fact, Rogutaan insisted we let him return there.

Your

robe

I mean, uh, let us talk to the injured man.

This isn't water. I think he may have been hit in the head.

Also, the translators must have become lazy. There is no punctuation and it feels like a sentence fragment.

I don't know, you seem to be standing up... You're fine.

Sounds fun!

Note: Technically, Rogutaan is supposed to have the Sharktan amulet in his inventory to receive the saddle, but the game fails to check for it here, so we can get it without it.

The same is not true for the other locations. This map contains Paradis. It's the northeastern-most village.

Sansha, still carrying the amulet, visits.

I'm afraid to ask what a Whorse is.

Oh, a pegasus. Why didn't you just say so?

W'Horse and Pegasus take up the same number of letters so I have no idea, unless the translators thought the name Pegasus was copyrighted or something.

Anyway, one of the Skartan people told us to visit Willis for more information on Vian's legendary weapon. If you recall, Willis was the city that Sheena had petrified, and we had to use the mermaid's harp to return everyone to normal.

Whoa, bro, you look exactly like the guy who told us to visit you.

The cursor is covering the city, sorry!

Move the cursor straight to the west from Wuls and you'll see it.

We also returned to the city of Solma, which we visited a couple of maps ago, but there was no new dialogue. We were reminded to visit Garmesh.

Right smack in the middle of Karmak's lands. Dragonia, the last place we need to visit with the Sharktan amulet, is there too -- it's the northeast-most city.

Next update: a beastrider of our own.

  1. Maybe "W' Horse' is supposed to be some bizarre abbreviation of "Wing(ed) Horse"?

  2. Yeah, probably.

Fun fact: when my brother and I played this game when we were kids, we'd actually call it "wuh horse" (like the start of "whut").
