We are staying at THE hotel.

I'm not kidding, that is its name.



THE hotel.

Capital THE, lowercase hotel.

It's the high-class extension of Mandalay Bay. We got a steal on the price of the room.

The living room.


That sofa is not comfortable.



The bedroom.





There is a big-screen TV in that closet.

I slept in the same bed as my mom. My brother slept on the sofa in the living room since it'd be creepy otherwise lol.

Bathroom #1 is like a closet at the room's entrance. We took no pictures of it.

Bathroom #2 is attached to the bedroom. It has a bathtub and shower (shower is next to the tub. The towel is on its door)


Two sinks in one bathroom?


There is also a TV on the wall in this bathroom.

The bar in the living room. Obviously, if we open up anything we'd get charged for it.



There is a box on the bar labeled "The Love Box." My mother thought there'd be things like candy and lipstick in there. I thought there'd be condoms. Who do you think was right? Eheh.

The view from our room was a highway. The windows are very shiny, so we couldn't look through them at nighttime. Our reflections got in the way.

So, throughout our trip we constantly overemphasized the word "the" because it's funny.

I think, however, that Mandalay Bay is in on the joke.

Anyway, I was bushed. It's only 10pm in Vegas, but back home that's 1am. And we got up at 4am to get to the plane. I went straight to bed. The others went down to check out the casinos in the vicinity.

Next Day: Touristy Stuff. Is Ange ever gonna gamble and/or drink?

Baldur's Gate 003

Previous We return to the map south of the Friendly Arm Inn to hunt the ogre that stole all those belts. We found it easily enough. It aggro'd Soma, who I moved back so he could start shooting. Then, when everyone else mobbed the ogre, it got kinda stunlocked in the trees and went down without a fight. It was very anticlimactic. I was almost hoping for Xzar to get whacked since he ran into melee range. Alas. I really thought someone was going to die. Ogres hit like a truck and could easily one-shot any of our level 1 party.  Anyway, the Ogre had two unidentified belts to bring back to the quest giver. But instead of going right back to the Friendly Arm, we explore the rest of this map, and run into these clowns. Jaheira:  There is no surrender for carrion like these. Fruits Basket Manga (warning, spoilers and swearing)

I've been reading Foruba (the 'cute' Japanese nickname for Fruits Basket ) manga for a while now. The series started off wonderfully.  I loved it and was hooked rather fast.  I actually bought the first 12 volumes for a steal on eBay. The plot sounds lame, but the characters are quite likable.  Basically, Tohru is living alone, has nowhere to go, and she happens across the Sohma family, and they take her in, only for her to find that many of the Sohmas are cursed and change into animals when they come into close contact with people of the opposite sex.  This last part always sounded ridiculous to me, so I avoided the series until Herro asked me to watch the anime with him online once. I also avoided it because Tohru's eyes are freaking huge and scary! Pic from this site .
