Las Vegas 2009 (part 2)

We got our bags without a problem.

Weather: It was a pretty cool 45°F out there (~7°C). I love it!

Anyway, we got our rental car from Alamo without any problems. No rate hikes, no "free" upgrades, no push for insurance. I love them!

We rented a Kia Spectra. It's a smooth ride and quiet! I like it.

Afterward we were starving. But since it was kind of late for dinner, we didn't want to go to a buffet. So, we went to the Orleans Casino.

I like and dislike the casino. Of all the casinos in Vegas, this one smells the most like cigarettes. It's almost stifling. There's a non-smoking area, but people still smoke in there. What's the point? =/

Anyway we only went there because they have a Fuddruckers.



The closest location to us "back home" is over an hour away, so we never get to eat there. Basically, they cook the burger and you build it yourself using their condiment bar. You can put as much lettuce/tomato/onion/pickles/etc. as you want. Don't order cheese on the burger because they have a hot liquid cheese dispenser. And they have great fries too. They're wedges and seasoned! And you can pour cheese on them too.

But mostly I love their pickles and pico de gallo.

I don't go out for burgers much, to be honest, so this was a nice change.

Next:  We go to our hotel.  Trust me, it's a nice one! ;)

Baldur's Gate 003

Previous We return to the map south of the Friendly Arm Inn to hunt the ogre that stole all those belts. We found it easily enough. It aggro'd Soma, who I moved back so he could start shooting. Then, when everyone else mobbed the ogre, it got kinda stunlocked in the trees and went down without a fight. It was very anticlimactic. I was almost hoping for Xzar to get whacked since he ran into melee range. Alas. I really thought someone was going to die. Ogres hit like a truck and could easily one-shot any of our level 1 party.  Anyway, the Ogre had two unidentified belts to bring back to the quest giver. But instead of going right back to the Friendly Arm, we explore the rest of this map, and run into these clowns. Jaheira:  There is no surrender for carrion like these.
